The development projects in the neighborhood which have a direct impact on the daily lives of residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambalamukku Junction Development<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junction will be developed by acquiring land from Kowdiar, Peroorkada and Kudapanakunnu revenue villages. The project is being implemented as part of the state government’s scheme to decongest 20 junctions at Rs 200 crores to be funded by KIIFB. The project preparation unit of the public works department (PWD) will prepare the detailed project report for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The junction, including Kowdiar-Peroorkada Road, Sreekrishna Temple Road, NCC Road, Kuravankonam Road and Paruthipara Road, will be developed for a distance of 1km. The road will be widened at a width of 15.1m to 19.1m. Culverts, stormwater drains, footpaths and traffic safety systems are included in the scheme. The project will require the acquisition of 125 cents of land. Traffic islands and medians will be built as per the standards of the Indian Road Congress. The special purpose vehicle of this project is the Kerala road fund board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revenue department has issued 6(1) notification of the Land Acquisition Act as part of the Ambalamukku Junction development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paruthippara-Ambalamukku Road to be developed as an Inner Ring Road.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City Master Plan proposes to develop Paruthippara-Ambalamukku Road as part of\u00a0an Inner Ring Road in the city. The Inner Ring Road starts from Kuzhivila Jn and continues through Akkulam-Ulloor Kesavadasapuram-Paruthippara-Muttada-Vayalikada-Ambalamukku-Pippinmoodu Maruthankuzhy-Edappazhinji-Jagathy-Killipaalam-Attakulangara and ends at Enchakkal Junction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peroorkada Flyover<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 874-m-long, two-lane flyover will be built spending Rs 55.42 crore with KIIFB assistance. The total cost of the project, including acquisition of 160.65 acres of land in Peroorkada and Kudappanakunnu villages, is expected to come to around Rs 106.76 crores. It will be the second major flyover in the city after the Bakery Junction flyover<\/p>\n\n\n\n

for the construction of the flyover. The social impact assessment (SIA) study is over, and the land acquisition process has begun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pattom Flyover:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 1008m long flyover is starting near Kendriya Vidyalaya on Pattom side and ending near Hotel Jins on Plamoodu side. Extent of private land to be acquired is 0.22 Hectares. The fund required for land acquisition is approximately Rs. 21 crores including compensation for structures. The project is being funded by KIIFB at an estimated cost of Rs 138 Crores.
